Women Helping Women

Kelley & Associates, has become a business consultant for Rodan + Fields® Dermatologists, a company that provides skin care solutions.

“It was a natural fit,” said Christi Kelley, President of Kelley & Associates and an independent consultant for Rodan + Fields. “As an all-female agency, we’re acutely aware of the importance of skin health throughout the aging process. That, plus the amazing business potential of this product line, made it an ideal additional revenue source.”

Rodan + Fields was founded by Dr. Kate Rodan and Dr. Katie Fields, the Stanford-trained dermatologists who created Proactiv® Solution. They have since developed a complete range of clinically-developed skincare products that treat everything from blemishes to dull and aging skin.

As an independent consultant, Christi Kelley sells Rodan + Fields products through her website, christikelley.myrandf.com. Products are available for individual order, but many of Christi’s clients prefer the Preferred Customer Plan, a program that saves buyers 10% and includes free shipping on regularly scheduled orders.

Direct sales are only a part of the agency’s involvement. The company also provides support for other entrepreneurs who want to join in Rodan + Fields’ nationwide expansion. Through customer care, assessment, training and online tools, Rodan +Fields representatives are equipped to serve the growing demand for skincare solutions.

Agency Wins 2011 Design Awards

Kelley & Associates’ year of success continues with the announcement of the 2011 International Communicator Awards and MarCom Awards.

The agency has taken home 13 trophies from the Communicator Awards competition since 2003 for projects in video, print, website and multi-channel categories. This year, the agency earned Awards of Distinction for a cover design for Bartlett INSIGHTS, the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce annual magazine and membership directory, and a poster series for Catholic Charities of West Tennessee.

The Catholic Charities campaign also earned the agency a Platinum MarCom Award. Additional MarCom Awards included Honorable Mentions for MemphisVeterinarySpecialists.com and the Rajun Cajun Crawfish Festival, Gold Awards for SXP’s product brochure and a Noggs Sunglasses print advertisement.

CEO Christi Kelley is particularly proud of the poster series’ wins. “Catholic Charities of West Tennessee makes such a positive contribution in the MidSouth through so many vital, lifesaving and life-changing programs,” she said. “I’m thrilled and honored that our promotional materials won a Communicator Award and a Platinum MarCom Award, but the greater victory for me was that we were able to help Catholic Charities exceed their 2010 fund raising goals—even in this struggling economy.” All winning entries can be viewed here.

The Communicator Awards are judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of professionals from acclaimed media, communications, advertising, creative and marketing firms. Members include executives from organizations such as Alloy, Coach, Disney, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Estee Lauder, HBO, Monster.com, MTV, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, Victoria’s Secret, Wired, and Yahoo! This year, they received over 9,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world.

The MarCom Awards is an international competition that recognizes excellence in marketing and communications. Each year, thousands of entries pour in from design firms, advertising agencies, corporate marketing and communications departments, PR firms, production companies and freelancers worldwide.

Catholic Charities of West Tennessee Announces Safe Starts Here

CathSafe Starts Here - Sophia's Houseolic Charities of West Tennessee today announced the launch of its “Safe Starts Here” campaign to help raise awareness about the issue of Domestic Violence in our community and the availability of its Sophia’s House as a haven for women and children fleeing domestic violence. Catholic Charities of West Tennessee has been serving victims of domestic violence since 1998.

Incidents of Domestic Violence tend to increase as we enter into the Holiday season, and this is the reason for the timing of the launch now.

Funded through the generosity of a private grant, the Safe Starts Here campaign is aimed at victims and those agencies that provide support to victims. The campaign will run through December 31, 2011 and will include:

  • Public Service Announcements on WMC TV 5 (and its sister stations)
  • Public Service Announcements on a variety of Memphis radio stations
  • Outdoor bill boards and bus shelter ads
  • A new web site www.SafeStartsHere.org
  • Printed materials provided to over 200 police, medical, religious, transportation and community organizations in West Tennessee for distribution to victims in need of our help.
  • Social Media efforts via FaceBook, Twitter, etc.

Kelley & Associates created the tagline, branding elements, brochure, billboards, transit posters, posters, and awareness cards for the campaign.

Victims or referral agencies should call the new toll-free number 1 (855) SOPHIA3 (1-855-767-4423) to be connected directly to Sophia’s House personnel.

For more information about Sophia’s House, please contact Alie Lifsey at alie.lifsey@acc.cdom.org or 901-722-4750.
